Kidney Friendly Recipe – Omelet
An omelet can be a nutritious and kidney-friendly breakfast option when made with the right ingredients. To make a kidney-friendly omelet, start by using low-potassium vegetables such as onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers. Add in some low-sodium cheese or herbs for extra flavor. Avoid adding high-potassium ingredients like tomatoes or spinach, and limit the amount of salt you use. Consider using egg whites instead of whole eggs to reduce phosphorus intake. Pair your omelet with a slice of whole-grain toast for an even more balanced breakfast.
